Two-man Team Scramble Competition        

Practice, Schmacktice - we've got prize money right out of the gate!  We're changing things up this year with a two-man scramble competition on Friday.

  • You decide how to divide your group into teams of two (but see note below).

  • If possible please let Joel know before you tee off who will play together, so he can let you know what your team handicap will be.

  • Competition is based on net team score in a scramble format, using the handicap assigned to your team. Team handicaps are computed based on the number of players on the team and their individual handicaps. Ask Joel if you want more info.

  • Both players tee off, and the team chooses the best tee shot. The other ball is picked up and moved to the location of the best one. Both players hit from there, and pick the best shot again, continuing until one player holes out.

  • Please record only one score for the entire team.

  • There is no requirement to use any number of drives from each player.

Last Place $100

Please note: The main point of this weekend isn't the contest, it's stress-free fun with old friends.  If you don't feel like competing but want to knock a ball around - do it!  If you've got three players and all three want to join in - no problem; we can handicap your team for a fair fight against the twosomes.  As my momma used to say, "whatever trips your trigger".

Individual Net Competition

  • Competition is based on net score using the handicap assigned to you by the handicap committee. Note that these are based much more on your scores in prior years than on your USGA index. The conditions and courses we play have a different set of challenges from flatland munis.

  • Please record hole-by-hole gross scores - we'll take care of the net. And please record the number of strokes you took, not the net vs. par.
